ASK YOUR FATHER

I say this often and have been using it regularly over the last couple of weeks during the school holidays. As I said it again the other day, I realised what it means. It means that I don’t want to say ‘yes’ to whatever you are asking me, whether it is to watch TV, have another Easter egg, eat a third yoghurt for the day and so forth. I don’t want to say yes because then I will feel that you have won yet another battle against me. So ask your father. Then he can say yes and then he is the one to feel guilty, not Moi.

TIDBIT: I saw an advertisement the other day in the window of the local real estate agent. They were selling a crematorium business. The business’s slogan was ‘No Shortcuts’.

WHAT ARE THE SHORTCUTS!?

What would Jane say?
‘The old gentleman died; his will was read, and like almost every other will, gave as much disappointment as pleasure.’
